W.E. Hoban Company is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team!

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing customer relationships throughout the sales process, ensuring timely and effective follow-up on quotes, and coordinating with internal teams to meet customer needs. This role acts as a liaison between customers and the company, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently from initial inquiry through to the start of production. The Inside Sales Representative will also assist in sales forecasting, project management, and internal reporting, and will collaborate on marketing initiatives to promote the company’s products and services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely follow-up with customers on quotes, providing updates and answering any inquiries.
  • Ensure that all quoting information is accurately entered into the ERP system, including all relevant documentation, to ensure smooth order processing and traceability.
  • Manage and maintain customer accounts, ensuring all customer data is up to date in the CRM system.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and the company throughout the quoting process.
  • Assist with customer inquiries regarding product specifications, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Provide customers with updates on order status, potential delays, and shipping timelines, as required.
  • Support the Customer Account Specialist team in addressing and resolving issues, ensuring that complaints are tracked, followed up on, and resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Help develop and maintain customer relationships, focusing on customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Work with the Sales Manager to identify potential upsell or cross-sell opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Monitor customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in products or services.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Production, Engineering, Shipping) to ensure that customer orders are processed smoothly and on schedule.
  • Internal project management including project timelines, next steps, customer communication, and seeing the project through to start of production.
  • Ensure that the sales team adheres to pricing, contract terms, and discount policies.
  • Order entry and assist with contract review to ensure accurate processing of customer orders.
  • Work with Sales Manager to achieve the goals and expectations of the company.
  • Develop reports and presentations (Open Order Reports, Sales Updates, Forecasts, etc.).
  • Collaborate on marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Occasionally participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote products and establish strong relationships with customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with proficiency in English required; Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a manufacturing team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel, however minimal travel is expected.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong customer focus and a passion for delivering high-quality service and support.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or higher in Sales, Technical, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in a sales support or customer service role.
  • Experience with an ERP and CRM systems is a plus.
  • Previous experience in project management or managing customer accounts in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday from 8am – 5:00pm
