W.E. Hoban Company is looking for an Customer Account Specialist to join our team!

The Customer Account Specialist supports W.E. Hoban Company’s Sales function and is based at the corporate headquarters in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by managing day-to-day communication, understanding customer requirements, and ensuring their needs are met accurately and efficiently. The Customer Account Specialist builds strong, trusted relationships with customers while coordinating internally across departments to support order accuracy, timeliness, and overall satisfaction.

Job Duties:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, managing day-to-day communications and building strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Process and track customer orders from entry through delivery, ensuring accuracy in specifications, pricing, and timelines.
  • Utilize customer EDI portals for order entry, shipping confirmation, and related account updates.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to align manufacturing schedules with customer requirements.
  • Monitor order progress, proactively identify potential delays, and communicate updates to customers in a timely manner.
  • Manage change orders, resolve discrepancies, and respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate customer records within ERP/CRM systems to support reporting, forecasting, and data integrity.
  • Provide the sales team with insights on account activity, customer feedback, and potential opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain customer master data, including contact information and certificate of insurance requirements.
  • Interact with customers via phone, email, online chat, or in person to provide product and service support.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, including strong active listening abilities.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, orders, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn new software tools.
  • Ability to develop or expand knowledge in specific products, services, or customer service specialties.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in Sales or Customer Service preferred.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments, ideally involving forging, machining, or metal fabrication.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8am- 5pm
